UE4 post-process AO can generate undesired effects on a skeletal mesh, to overcome the problem, I remedy it by tweaking the bias value of the post process volume combines with some manipulation on the character's material AO channel, thus, eliminating the undesired noises whilst preserving the finer detail of the character model.
