Hello, I'm Pawlost! I'm a new programmer in the Star and Serpent dev team, and I'll tell you a little bit about my work. I've been working on Weltschmerz, our world generator, which generates terrain types and elevation. The word Weltschmerz is German and literally means “world pain” (the sort of feeling someone experiences who doesn't believe that the physical reality can satisfy the demands of the mind).

In the past few days, I’ve been working on streaming the levels for the game. Also, I talk a little bit about facial animation. Lastly, I talk about bringing the game to the PlayStation platforms (PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita).

We've been working since October on our Early Access 3 patch and it is our largest release so far. We think this really brings us close to the goal line of 1.0 Full Release.

First and foremost I know we've been extremely quiet about development of this game for the past few months. This does not mean we've stopped working on the game at all, in fact, it just means we've been working extra hard on the game!

Since our release last month we've been working on a little Christmas surprise, a FREE VR Experience for everyone to enjoy on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. “RideOp – VR Thrill Ride Experience” will be released for FREE tomorrow (Nov 29, 2018) on Steam.

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working on improving the visuals of the game. Which, as you can see in the video below, meant redrawing a lot of artwork! Buildings, trees and other parts of the background have been redrawn and improved.
